AC went out last week. The repair man stated I just "need a new system" and its "not worth the repair" and listed a hefty price for diagnosis. I said "no thanks". I was able to diagnose that my Control board was defective with the help of a multimeter and a YouTube video. Found the part number on the existing unit. No one local was willing to sell me one without charging for the installation. Amazon was more expensive and stated a week to deliver. Found the OEM part here, payed for the 1 day shipping (not "next day" which was much more expensive, not sure the difference but 50 dollars well spent). The part arrived late the next day. Instructions were clear and I had it installed in less than an hour. AC is back running like a champ for a about 2 hours of work and total cost of $257.
