Description
This is a Brand New Aftermarket Furnace Inducer Motor / Exhuast Motor. It is designed as a direct replacement for Gibson/Westinghouse/Maytag/Frigidaire Inducer Motor / Exhaust Motor. The inducer sits in a plastic section of the flue pipe- the entire piece is replaced. Thanks for looking and good luck!
Function:
An inducer motor is designed to expel the exhaust gas from the furnace. Older inefficient furnaces allowed the flue gas to escape the unit with virtually no resistance. Newer high efficient furnace heat exchangers are so restrictive that the flue gases cannot exit the furnace though natural draft. Therefore, the inducer is required to pull the flue gases through the heat exchanger. The inducer motor is usually the first thing that starts up when your furnace calls for heat.
