This is a Brand New Carrier/Bryant/Payne Furnace In-shot Burner. The Carrier/Bryant/Payne part # is 50DK407029 (replaces all the old Part #s listed below). This burner is only to be used for the center burners- not the far right or far left burners. It has "crossovers" on both sides so that the gas will flow to the burner right and left of it. For the edge burners search our store for 50DK407030. The model that you have determines the number of burners you have (typically between 3 and 6). Thanks for looking and good luck!
Function:
Burners are designed to mix the correct amount of air and gas for proper and clean combustion. The gas is regulated at the gas valve and many burners have air adjustments on them. Newer style burner called “in-shot” burners do not have air adjustments.
