Description

This is a BRAND NEW Climatek Drop in replacement ECM Motor & Module Combo Kit. This 16-pin variable speed motor connects the same as the OEM and is universally compatible with all 2.0 & 2.3 motors. It does not replace any 2.5 ECM motors or ECM motors that have a silver motor module (3.0 ECM). It replaces the old part numbers listed below. It comes with a 2 year manufacturer warranty.

Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.

    Replacement Blower Motor with Controller Works Great

    After 15 years, the stock fan control module went bad on my Trane unit, not a bad run for a controller. This replacement EZ16 and EZ Interface works great a my replacement, and it cost less than just the original controller replacement. It only operated at a slow speed at first. I added the included thermostat adapter cable at the advice of the Nidec support line, who was available right away to answer my call after hours. It now operates at full speed, to the limit of I have the max speed set. It is nice to have that control since I can not reduce the speed. Previously the unit was drawing too much air and was causing a whistling sound around the filters, and now it doesn't without impacting the performance.
