This is a quality aftermarket flat ignitor kit that is used on many brands and models of ovens, stoves, and ranges.
Function:
The purpose of an ignitor is to ignite the gas after the gas valve opens up. It most cases, the ignitor turns off after ignition has occurred.

    This part replaced a defective igniter on my Dacor oven. The original part on the oven, as delivered, lasted about 4 months. The replacement works like a champ. This unit cost about a quarter of the price of other advertised units. From my experience with these items they all come from China anyway, so why pay more?
