Description

This is a BRAND NEW Furnace Inducer Motor / Exhaust Motor Assembly. We also sell the motor by itself but the motor is often rusted and carroded onto the wheel making it easier to replace the assembly. It is designed to replace the Carrier/Bryant/Payne part #s below. Thanks for looking and good luck!

Function:
An inducer motor is designed to expel the exhaust gas from the furnace. Older inefficient furnaces allowed the flue gas to escape the unit with virtually no resistance. Newer high efficient furnace heat exchangers are so restrictive that the flue gases cannot exit the furnace though €œnatural draft€. Therefore, the inducer is required to pull the flue gases through the heat exchanger. The inducer motor is usually the first thing that starts up when your furnace calls for heat.

    Dangling ground wire

Posted by Dan Reeder on 17th Dec 2020 17:40

When I got this assembly the green and yellow ground wire was attached on one end to the housing (as shown in the photo) but the other end was just loose. There is no other place on the motor for this ground wire to attach. So I guess I leave the unit ungrounded? An instruction sheet might have helped.

-Thank you for your order! The green grounding wire is designed to be attached to any furnace cabinet screw. Sorry the OEM did not include instructions on this point for you!
