This is a Brand New Goodman/Janitrol 3" Main Limit Switch rated at 180 Degrees (L180-30). The Part number is B13709-01 (also replaces B13709-01S & B13700-01). This Limit Switch goes on many Goodman/Janitrol furnaces.
Function:
A limit switch is a safety device designed to shut down a piece of equipment. Limits have a set point, which is in some cases, adjustable. The set point prevents the temperature or pressure from exceeding the rating of the switch.
