Description
This is a BRAND NEW Goodman/Janitrol Air Conditioning Fan Motor. It's 1/6 HP 208-230 volts 1075 RPM. If the shaft is facing up rotation is Clock Wise. The Goodman/Janitrol part number is B13400-252(S). It takes a 5 uf Capacitor rated at 370 volts. (This Motor is 5" Diameter as opposed to most which are 5 5/8" diameter)
Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.
