Description

This is a BRAND NEW OEM GE Genteq ICP/Heil/Tempstar/Comfort Maker Furnace X13 BLOWER MOTOR Module Made in the USA. The part # is HK44ER233 . It's 1/2 HP & 208-240 volt. Often when an X13 motor goes bad only the module is bad. You can unbolt the back end of the motor and replace the module with a new one. We cannot however guarentee that you will not need an entire motor assembly (which comes with a new module). Thanks for looking and good luck! Replacement Module for Motor Part #s: HD44AR233
Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.

Payne Indoor Blower Unit Fan Repair

Posted by Unknown on 8th Aug 2018 23:04

After a couple of back and forth e-mails to insure that I had the correct part number, I ordered the blower motor module for my Payne (Carrier) indoor system. I paid for next day delivery and the unit arrived promptly by 10:48 AM the next day. It took about 30 minutes to install and worked. I had previously determined that the fan motor was probably good - the windings ohmed out properly and the fan spun smoothly by hand with no apparent bearing issues (yes, I do have an electrical maintenance background).

A local service company was willing to replace the fan / motor control combo for ~$900; or, for a mere $5,400 replace both the indoor and outdoor units. They indicated that they could not get the individual control module.

For less than $300 I was able to get my system going. So, kudos to North American Distribution!
