This is a BRAND NEW 24 volt Honeywell Single Pole Contactor. It's rated at 30 amps and fits 99% of all Air Conditioners/Heat pumps produced.
Function:
A contactor form of a relay. Relays are switches that open and close circuits electrically. In most HVAC equipment a low voltage coil relay (24 vac) is energized in order to open or close a higher voltage (usually 120-240) circuit.
