This is a BRAND NEW OEM White Rodgers LP Furnace Gas Valve . The White Rodgers part # is Model 36E96 Type 215 . The Tempstar/Heil/ICP Part # is HQ1007722WR . The valve has an 1/2" inlet and a 1/2" outlet on the opposite side! Valve has a Lo rating of 4.4" wc and a Reg rating of 10" w/c on the name plate. Thanks for looking and good luck!
Function:
The gas valve is a low voltage control (usually 24 VAC) that allow gas into the combustion chamber. It is also an adjustable regulator that insures proper gas pressure for combustion. They have a manual shut off.
