Description

This is a BRAND NEW Aftermarket Furnace Inducer Motor / Exhaust Motor. It is a direct replacement for Heil/ICP/Tempstar/Comfort Maker part numbers listed below. The motor is 115 volt 3000 RPM.
Function:
An inducer motor is designed to expel the exhaust gas from the furnace. Older inefficient furnaces allowed the flue gas to escape the unit with virtually no resistance. Newer high efficient furnace heat exchangers are so restrictive that the flue gases cannot exit the furnace though natural draft€. Therefore, the inducer is required to pull the flue gases through the heat exchanger. The inducer motor is usually the first thing that starts up when your furnace calls for heat.

    Repair Success

Posted by Jack on 28th Nov 2023 13:50

I am so grateful that I was able to find this motor. It was shipped quickly, arrived in excellent condition, and was relatively easy to replace for this novice. I have to give a shout-out to another commenter (Ashley), whose review gave me the confidence to do this repair myself. It certainly saved me a huge repair bill. The new motor is working well — it's so nice and quiet. Thank you.

    Saved me a fortune

Part replaced the original model number for my furnace, worked perfectly. Arrived earlier than expected and pricing was best I saw from trustworthy websites. So simple to install too, took me a whole 10 minutes. Repair man wanted $400 for the job, only cost me the part and shipping doing it myself.

    Great In-Kind Replacement

Five starts due to the perfect fitament and how quiet this one is when compared to the OEM. Only complaint is the housing is double the thickness of the OEM part. This made attaching the exhaust vent very difficult. Had to tap drill holes before installing. Sheet metal screws were not enough.
