This is a BRAND NEW Motor Start Capacitor. It is designed to replace Diversitech & Packard part #s 400-480220 & PTMJ400 . This capacitor is rated at 400-480 MFD and 220 250 Volts (VAC). Capacitor is 4 3/8" tall and 2 1/16" in diameter.
Function:
A capacitor gives a motor a boost to get it up and running. Start capacitors help a motor/compressor get started, while run capacitors help a motor/compressor get started and run.
