This is a BRAND NEW EMERSON Air Conditioning FAN MOTOR rated at 1/6 HP 220 volt 1075 RPM! #1859 K55HXSSM-7146 Does it replace your motor? You need to know these things: 1.) Horsepower - This is a 1/6 HP. The equipment manufacturers tell us that a 1/6 HP Condenser Fan Motor can replace a 1/6 or 1/8 HP Fan Motor with no problems! 2.) Voltage - This motor is 208-230v. 3.) RPM - The RPM is 1075. If your motor is 1000-1150 this will work for you. 4.) Rotation - The rotation on this motor is REVERSIBLE (simply switch two wires!)- It fits all applications. 5.) Diamater of your motor. There are two sizes of motors for Residential Air Conditioners. You need to measure the diameter of your motor. It should be 5" or 5 5/8"" across. This motor is 5 5/8" in diameter! 6.) Shaft Length. This shaft is long enough to fit all residential systems. On a few systems you may need to cut it with a hack-saw after you have put the fan blade on it. If your motor falls into these categories this will replace your motor! This motor takes a 5 uf 370 volt capacitor. Thanks for looking and good luck!
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.
