This is a BRAND NEW Universal BELLY BAND for a Furnace BLOWER MOTOR. If your Motor is 5 5/8" in Diamater (48 Frame), then this will work for you. 98% of Residential Blower Motors are this size. If your old motor had welded or riveted "ears" then this will attach your replacement motor to the Blower Assembly. Thanks for looking and good luck!
Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.
