Description
This is a BRAND NEW GE Carrier/Bryant/Payne 3-Speed BLOWER MOTOR. It's 115 volt 1075 RPM! The motor is 5 5/8" in diameter (Frame 48Y).This motor is special in that it mounts with four "ears" that are welded to the sides of the motor! The shaft extends 3" out of the motor and if facing up (as seen in the picture) rotation is clockwise. The motor has 3 speed wires 2 capacitor wires 1 common and 1 ground. It replaces the old part numbers listed below.
Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.
