Description
This is a BRAND NEW GE Genteq Carrier/Bryant/Payne FAN MOTOR. It is rated at 1/2 HP, 208-230v and 1105 RPM. The motor is 5 5/8" in diameter (Frame 48Y). The shaft extends 2.5" out of the motor. If the shaft is facing up (as seen in the picture), the rotation is counter clockwise. The motor uses a 10 uf 370 volt capacitor. It replaces the old part numbers listed below.
Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.
