Description
This is a BRAND NEW OEM GE Carrier/Bryant/Payne Condenser FAN MOTOR. It's 1/8 HP 460v 1125 RPM. The motor is 5 5/8" in diameter (Frame 48Y). The shaft extends 1.5" out of the motor and is 1/2" in diameter. If the shaft is facing up (as seen in the picture) the rotation is counter clockwise. The motor has three wires. Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.
