Description
This is a BRAND NEW GE Carrier/Bryant/Payne BLOWER MOTOR. It is rated at 1/2 HP 115 volt 1075 RPM. The motor is 5 5/8" in diameter (Frame 48Y). The shaft extends 7" out of the motor one direction and 4" the other direction. The motor has 4 speed wires 2 capacitor wires 1 common wire and 1green case ground wire. It replaces the old part numbers listed below.
Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.
