Description
This is a BRAND NEW OEM Carrier/Bryant/Payne Gas Furnace Inducer Motor Squirrel Cage/ Blower Wheel. It goes on the inducer/exhaust motor in the furnace. The wheel measures 9" in Diameter and has a 5/16" hub size . It replaces the old part numbers listed below.
Function:
An inducer motor is designed to expel the exhaust gas from the furnace. Older inefficient furnaces allowed the flue gas to escape the unit with virtually no resistance. Newer high efficient furnace heat exchangers are so restrictive that the flue gases cannot exit the furnace though ?ônatural draft?ö. Therefore, the inducer is required to pull the flue gases through the heat exchanger. The inducer motor is usually the first thing that starts up when your furnace calls for heat.
