This is a BRAND Carrier/Bryant/Payne Thermal Expansion Valve TXV Kit. It is used on 2.5-3.5 Ton R410a units. It replaces the part numbers listed below.
Function:
The thermostatic expansion valve controls one thing only: the rate of flow of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator. This is achieved by monitoring temperature and pressure in the refrigerant system.
