Description
This is a BRAND NEW GE Genteq Air Conditioning Fan Motor. It is rated at 1/12 HP, 208-230 volts and 825 RPM. If the shaft is facing up as shown in the photo, the rotation is Clock Wise. It takes a 5 uf Capacitor rated at 370 volts. If the motor is being used in a single speed application the red wire should not be used. It replaces the old part numbers listed below.
Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.
