Description
This is a BRAND NEW OEM GE Carrier/Bryant/Payne 3-Speed BLOWER MOTOR. It is rated at 1/5 HP, 208-230v, 950 RPM. The motor is 5 5/8" in diameter (Frame 48Y). It will replace motors with 2-5 speeds. If the shaft is facing up (as seen in the picture), the rotation is clockwise. It replaces the old part numbers listed below.
Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.
