Description

This is a Brand New OEM Upgraded Goodman/Amana/Janitrol Condenser Fan Motor. The motor is 1/4 HP, 208-230 volt, and 1100 RPM. If the shaft is facing up (as seen in the photo), the rotation is clockwise.
Function:
An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In an HVAC system, motors typically turn the air conditioning fan blade and the furnace blower motor. Newer high efficient motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" that control the motor speeds. These can be removed and replaced separately.

    Ordered this and another part. They showed up in a couple of days. I removed the old motor and compared it to the new one. The label was exactly the same. Installed the new motor. The hardest part of the job was getting the fan blades off the old motor. I little work with a flat file (10 minutes) and it came right off. I followed the instructional video on this site and everything went smoothly. Fired up the system and it runs smooth and quiet and in total it took less then 1 hour. I'm not a HVAC pro but this one job sure went like it was being done by one. Thanks for the parts (cheaper then Amazon) and especially thanks for the excellent video. Two thumbs up.
