This is a Brand New OEM Upgraded Rheem/Ruud/Richmond/Vanguard/GE Water Heater Hot Surface Ignitor Assembly. It includes the ignitor, sensor, and a new gasket.
Function:
The purpose of an ignitor is to ignite the gas after the gas valve opens up. It most cases, the ignitor turns off after ignition has occurred.
