This is a Brand New OEM Upgraded Rheem/Ruud Water Heater Control Board. If your old control board does not include a chip, you will need to purchase a new one along with this control board. A programmed chip will be required with this new control board.
Function:
The control board is the "brain" of your unit, coordinating and executing the operation of other various components by sending voltage when and where needed. A control board is constantly monitoring sensors and safety switches in the unit.
