This is a BRAND NEW OEM Honeywell Rheem/Ruud/Weather King/Corsaire furnace Gas Valve.TheRheem/Ruud Part # is 60-25076-81 and the Honeywell Model # is VR8304M4002. It has a 3/4" inlet and outlet (also comes with 2 reducers to reduce either or both end to 1/2") and is 4" Long. Valve is set up for NAT gas. Thanks for looking and good luck!
Function:
The gas valve is a low voltage control (usually 24 VAC) that allow gas into the combustion chamber. It is also an adjustable regulator that insures proper gas pressure for combustion. They have a manual shut off.
