This is a brand new upgraded 1 pole, 40 amp, 24 volt coil condenser contactor designed to replace the Rheem/Weather King/Corsaire/RUUD part #s listed below. It is made by the same company that makes the OEM contactors for Rheem/Ruud/Weather King/Corsaire. This contactor has a sealed contact and was designed to replace many older Part #s- most without a sealed contact.
Function:
A contactor form of a relay. Relays are switches that open and close circuits electrically. In most HVAC equipment a low voltage coil relay (24 vac) is energized in order to open or close a higher voltage (usually 120-240) circuit.
