This is a BRAND NEW Universal Upgraded Gas Furnace HSI (Hot Surface Ignitor) made in the USA. This is a Silicon Nitride ignitor and with an avergae lifespan of 3-5 times an average ignitor. It comes with a couple of mounting brackets and instructions that allow this ignitor to replace Robertshaw Uni-Line part #s 41-404 41-405 41-407 41-408. Thanks for looking and good luck!
Function:
The purpose of an ignitor is to ignite the gas after the gas valve opens up. It most cases, the ignitor turns off after ignition has occurred.
