This is an Upgraded White Rodgers Furance Control Board designed for Trane/American Standard Furnaces. It repalces the part #s listed below. The new board comes with instructions although installation is intuitive. **The board will not replace Lennox control boards **
Function:
The control board is the "brain" of your unit, coordinating and executing the operation of other various components by sending voltage when and where needed. A control board is constantly monitoring sensors and safety switches in the unit.

    I have replaced this control board for all three of my Trane units. The units were installed in 2000. The control board in each unit burnt out consecutively in the past 2 years. I was quoted between $350 to $750 to replace each of them by local HVAC companies - RIP OFF!!!!

    Each time a board went down, I ordered one of these from North America HVAC. I researched online and they were the least expensive, including delivery cost.

    The boards were sent promptly each time. All were new and in perfect shape.

    Installment was a matter of "pull and plug". Pull a wire from the old unit and plug it in the corresponding spot on the new board. I took several pictures of the wires on the old unit first, just in case I lost tract. It took me approximately 15 minutes each time I replaced a board.

    I cannot get over the fact that for 15 minutes of work, I saved between $200 and $600.
