Description
This is a BRAND NEW Trane Inducer Motor / Exhaust Motor. The motor assembly has 2 wires plus a green grounding wire! Assembly comes with a new gasket. Replaces all the old part #s listed below.
Function:
An inducer motor is designed to expel the exhaust gas from the furnace. Older inefficient furnaces allowed the flue gas to escape the unit with virtually no resistance. Newer high efficient furnace heat exchangers are so restrictive that the flue gases cannot exit the furnace though “natural draft”. Therefore, the inducer is required to pull the flue gases through the heat exchanger. The inducer motor is usually the first thing that starts up when your furnace calls for heat.
