Trouble Shooting Tips

  • If the motor does not run after installation, first verify that it has been wired correctly. You can watch the instructional video above for wiring instructions.
  • Make sure that you have turned the power back on to the condenser. The motor should have 230 volt (220-240) when reading between the yellow and black wires. You can test for proper voltage volt a volt meter.
  • If you have the proper voltage going to the motor, then you may have a weak capacitor. With a weak capacitor, the motor may run not run at all, or for a short time before overheating and coming to a stop. In this case, you will need to replace your capacitor with a new motor.
