If the motor does not run after installation, first verify that it has been wired correctly. You can watch the instructional video above for wiring instructions.
Make sure that you have turned the power back on to the condenser. The motor should have 230 volt (220-240) when reading between the yellow and black wires. You can test for proper voltage volt a volt meter.
If you have the proper voltage going to the motor, then you may have a weak capacitor. With a weak capacitor, the motor may run not run at all, or for a short time before overheating and coming to a stop. In this case, you will need to replace your capacitor with a new motor.
